DESCRIPTION: A steep hike up the mountain leads to a beautiful view, including the NYC skyline, when the weather is clear. This town-owned park has 4.4 miles of hiking trails. The New York – New Jersey Trail Conference has a detailed description of Turkey Mountain. 

HOW TO GET THERE: From Yorktown Town Hall, go south on Route 118 for 1.9 miles, then turn right onto Locke Lane. There is a parking lot.
