Franklin Delano Roosevelt State Park

DESCRIPTION: An 841-acre state park with a swimming pool, picnic tables, a large lake with boat rentals, playing fields, a paved internal road system, and 7.0 miles of hiking trails. The New York – New Jersey Trail Conference has a detailed description and a map of Turkey Mountain. 

HOW TO GET THERE: From the Taconic, take the FDR Park exit or approach from route 202/35 west of Downing Park (cars, buses, and trucks). Foot access from Downing Park.
