ABOUT US

Our mission is to promote greater social cohesion in the Town of Yorktown by increasing awareness of its trail systems, enhancing trail user experience, and communicating to trail users the services of nearby businesses.

Who we are

The Yorktown Trail Town Committee is a volunteer group, formed in September 2014, to promote Yorktown’s extensive network of trails. Comprised of residents and business owners from the town, the committee seeks to promote greater recreational, health, social, and economic benefits to its residents and visitors through parks and trails. Membership is free and open. The Committee meets monthly.

The Yorktown Trail Town Committee, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

What we do

We initiate special trail related projects and sponsor events, including guided walks, hikes, and cycle rides that encourage greater use of our trail network. With social media and printed publications we also promote Yorktown’s trails throughout Westchester and the greater Hudson Valley.

Our projects are funded by a combination of grants, fundraising and volunteer efforts.
